Are you a kid or just a kid at heart? Join us for a dynamic yoga class for the family. Maybe you’re a parent, aunt, uncle, nanny, teacher or someone looking for a more curious and playful approach to your yoga practice? Come ground and elevate with us as we yoke together the wisdom of children and the teachings of yoga in an all ages, all levels welcome class. We’ll explore everything from movement, stillness and breath to intention, focus and stress release. Increased body awareness, strength, flexibility, and relaxation are all wonderful benefits for kids and adults alike.Grounding provides a connection that makes us feel safe, alive, centered in ourselves, and rooted in our environment. The Grounded Kids and GrownUps yoga class encourages self-acceptance, compassion, creative expression and discipline. Ages 6 to infinity, all levels welcome.

Kira Wilsterman

Connecting with the breath on the mat invites stillness and creates the inner peace and wisdom that helps Kira enjoy life with more happiness, grace and compassion. Yoga is truly for the mind, body and spirit. A Decatur native, Kira attended Clairemont, Renfroe, graduated from Decatur High School, and is currently the PE teacher at Oakhurst Elementary. She is a Certified Grounded Kids Yoga Teacher, has had Yin training with Douglas Johnson and Kathy and Dennis Lang. She received her 200 YTT from Yandara Yoga Institute and is currently working on her 500YTT with Johns Creek Yoga as well as a Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training with Mukta and Gurusahay Khalsa. Kira has been a runner since high school but fell in love with meditation and yoga a couple of years ago. She has completed several courses with Mindful Schools and also a Cognitively Based Compassion Training (CBCT) course at Emory University. Off the mat, Kira enjoys running, reading, knitting, reiki and she absolutely loves to travel.
