“Touch is a means of communication.
It is through touch that we can connect,
transmit and express compassion and well being.”Hands-on assists can be an incredibly potent tool for helping yoga students find better alignment, increased stability, greater extension and deeper relaxation. For students of yoga, receiving a great hands-on assist can communicate more clearly than words. “Hands-on assists” are an opportunity to both help the student gain deeper access to a pose and enhance the overall experience of the practice. In this fast paced and sometimes isolate society, it may be the only time someone receives touch.
In this 3 hour workshop, we will:
~ Explore various foundational yoga postures, discuss their actions and the intention of each pose
~ Learn hands on assists that are appropriate for the posture as well as well as the student
~ Discuss and demonstrate different types of touch
~ Discuss when to/or not to use touch
$55 per person
* This workshop is applicable for Yoga Teachers, Yoga Teacher Trainees, Body Workers or Intermediate or Advanced Practitioners
