Yoga and the Five Elements with Ali Modell

Yoga is a practice that involves movement, breathing, meditation,
and living in conjunction with the seasons.
In this weekend immersion we will explore the 5 elements
as seen through the lens of Chinese medicine
and their relationship to the principles of classical yoga.
Each session will include lecture on lifestyle ideas, movement/asana,
breath-work, and concentration/meditation practices,
focused on a particular element.
Wood: correlates to the spring season, and is about birth.
Fire: correlates to the summer season and is about growth.
Earth: correlates to the late summer season, and is about maturity.
Metal: correlates to the fall season, and is about degeneration.
Water: correlates to the winter season, and is about dormancy.
Each Session is 2.5 Hours
Whole Weekend – $275 includes 5 yoga sessions
