May Teacher Spotlight

Caroline

“For me yoga is a way to feel and contribute to the powerful interconnection we all share, a way to experience the beauty of an impermanent life, a way to take care of the physical, mental, and emotional bodies that carry us through this world, and a way to share that empowerment and joy with other people. Yoga has changed everything about my life: I am grateful for this practice, my teachers, and my students.”

After many years of practicing yoga, Caroline joined the Vista Yoga sangha (community) in late summer of 2013 as a student. After her first class she new this was her home. Through a beautiful story (that she LOVES to tell) she came to work behind the desk as the operations manager of the center. She completed her 200-hour teacher training with Marti, Marty, and Elizabeth at Vista Yoga in 2014 and since then has been honored to facilitate other’s yoga practices as an extension of her own. She supports her yoga practice and teaching by studying with Prajna Yoga’s Tias and Surya Little in Santa Fe, Marti Yura, Tracy James, and Ian Boccio at Vista Yoga, as well as many others. In addition to teaching at and managing Vista Yoga Center, Caroline teaches yoga at Agnes Scott College and Dekalb Public Schools.
